Once a project meets the minimum production threshold to be reported, a Mangrove user can initiate reporting to a registry to get credits issued. Reporting is done periodically, and the user can manage all reports of various stages in the Reporting tab.

The Reporting Lifecycle

1

Generate a Report from a period of production

  • From the Project’s Reporting tab, click on Generate Report
  • Select the production period to be reported
  • A new draft report is initiated and a set of verification outputs are automatically generated.
  • The owner of the Report is set to the user who initiated the draft. Assign the report to other users in the Mangrove account when necessary
2

Complete all other requirements with the necessary documents

Besides the production accounting requirement, a registry often asks for other information to be included, such as a document explaining changes within the reported period, or a list of locations where the project activity took place, or a written discussion of some of the reported data. This information is added to each Requirement on the report.
  • Select a particular requirement
  • Upload the necessary documents to meet the requirement
3

Submit the Report

The Report can be submitted directly through the platform to connected registries and verifiers, enabling seamless digital workflows. Alternatively, Reports can be generated off-platform and then recorded within Mangrove for tracking and audit purposes.
  • Download Package with all the included documents, and send the downloaded file folder directly to the registry. Use the Submit button to record a submission of the Report
  • Use the Send to Registry button to sync the Report, its documents, calculations and evidence files, directly to the registry for review. See Reporting Integrations.
  • Once the Report is submitted, a new issuance forecast is added to the credit inventory, with an estimated time of issuance.
4

Verification process

  • After the report is submitted, the verifier or reviewing body reviews the submitted data. This process varies depending on the registry.
  • A report can be submitted several times if necessary
5

Issue credits from a completed Report

  • Once the Report is approved, Mark the Report as “Complete” in Mangrove.
  • This converts the forecasted credits into a Credit Issuance, ready to be delivered to customer orders

The Report

Each Report detail view shows you the full list of requirements, the status of each requirement, the status of the Report as it progresses through the review process. To effectively track a report, update the Report Name, designate the right owner, and leave notes on the Report.

Auto-generated verification statements

Mangrove auto-generates statements and documents from the reported production data to match templates provided by your registry. This includes:
  • Spreadsheet reports
  • Embedded dynamic links to a web view of each batch’s calculations, and associated evidence files
  • PDF statements summarizing the production activity within the period These generated outputs are compliant with the reporting file formats required by the registry.
Auto-generated statements requires configuration, and may not be available for your specific value stream. Talk to your Mangrove representative to enable this.
