Mangrove provides a notification system that helps users stay on top of changes and updates across the platform. Notifications can be received both in-app and via email, ensuring that users have immediate access to important information, regardless of their current activity on the platform.

  • In-App Notifications: Users can find notifications in the “Notifications” section within Mangrove. This section provides a centralized feed of all recent notifications.
  • Email Notifications: For users who prefer or require external alerts, Mangrove also offers the option to receive notifications by email. This ensures that important updates are not missed, even when users are away from the platform.

Notifications in Mangrove can be triggered by changes to specific resources within the platform. These resources include: Projects, Production Data Events, Data Requests, Orders, Deliveries, Issuances.

Configuring Notifications

Users with Admin privileges have the ability to configure notifications, tailoring the notification system to meet the specific needs of their team or organization. The configuration process involves selecting the specific object, the triggering condition, and optionally adding a time delay for the notification.

To configure a new notification:

  1. Create a new notification in the AdminNotifications settings
  2. Choose which platform object (e.g., Projects, Orders) will trigger the notification.
  3. Define the Triggering Condition: Specify what action or change to the object will initiate the notification. This could be an update to a project, a new order being placed, etc.
  4. Set a Time Delay (optional): Admins can add a delay to the notification, specifying that it should only be sent after a certain number of days post the triggering event.
  5. Notification Delivery Options: Determine how the notification will be delivered. All notifications will appear in-app, but admins can also choose to send notifications via email to specific addresses.

Dynamic variables can be added to the notification message, as well as the email subject. A custom message can be written for email notifications to include more context.
